First Observing
Observing a place that is completely different from normal places I hang out is actually very interesting. You begin to notice certain trends right off the bat. I found out quickly that some people will do almost anything...like dress like a women.....to get into some place cheaper. I have been observing the Savidge Geko which is the arcade in the student center. This is a very interesting place. I have already started seeing many trends between people. Like there are some people who can spend complete hours playing computer games...I wonder..When do they do there homework..or study?? and some people play rockband all the time...also makes me wonder...are some people really that tone deaf not to know what they sound like?? I've seen guys dressing like girls just to get in on Wednesdays for free. Hopefully they borrow the clothes from there friends...because if they go out and buy the clothes just to get in free...really wouldnt that be costing them more. Its only been a week and I still have lots more to see. Im wondering will there be anyone else there or will it just generally be the same people? will the rockband people play any other games? will the computer kid ever study? In the comming weeks I hope these questions will be answered but I'm sure there will be many more.

These are some great questions you have, Carlette! It looks like you've happened on a really interesting subculture. I don't know much about video games anymore (I didn't do much after Mario Bros. on NES), so you'll have to fill in the info for me and other readers on what these games are as we go. As you continue your blogging, can you say more about the layout of the room and start to talk about interactions between people and what those people are like?
